Christmas Quilt Course 6 sessions from Tues 6th Sept 6.30pm
We've added some extra evening dates so that you can now join us and make this amazing quilt.
With pretty houses, presents, baubles, trees and candy; it is the epitomy of Christmas and whether you choose to make it in modern pinks and reds like Jen's or in more traditional colours; we are sure it will become one of your most valued possessions to showcase year after year.
Our course runs over 3 batches of 2 sessions each - in September, October and early December; so you'll have your quilt ready in time. We'll guide you through how to make each block; how to pull it all together; quilting and binding.
You get to choose how many blocks you want to make. The pattern makes up into a wall hanging but you could use the blocks individually/in small groups to make table runners or placemats; or expand it to make a full size quilt.
It's mainly a foundation paper pieced pattern so a great technique to learn.
Gorgeous!
Dates: Tuesday 6th & 13th September; 11th & 18th October and 6th & 13th December.
If you know that you are not able to make all the dates; don't worry; we will make sure that you can catch up.
Time: 6.30pm - 9pm
This course is suitable for those with some previous patchwork experience. If you have completed our beginners course; this is the ideal next step. You will, of course, need to complete a number of blocks at home, between the sessions, as there will only be enough time in class, to make 1 or 2 blocks.
The pattern is included in the price of the course but the materials are not.
The wallhanging is fat quarter friendly. Fabric wise for the wall hanging, you will need 6 fat quarters, 1 metre for the background, 1 metre for the backing, 30cm for the binding and some scraps. Full details will be sent out 2 weeks before the class starts.
