Dressmaking (Skirts) Wed 27th July 10am-4pm

  • £48.00
Tax included.

Make a beautiful skirt in a day. It could be a lightweight cotton or viscose floaty number for Summer; or a heavy cord or denim for Autumn through to Spring.

The class is a great introduction to dressmaking or a nice refresher if it's been a while.

Learn firstly how to alter your pattern and then learn the different stages of construction; from cutting out through seams, darts, zips, facings and hems.

You need to be confident in using a sewing machine for this class but do not need previous dressmaking experience.

The pattern is included in the price of this workshop. We will be using McCalls 8068 so that you can choose a style of skirt that suits you; whether its a short straight mini to full floaty long version or anything inbetween. The pattern comes in a hip size range of 30" to 52".

Please bring a packed lunch as we will have a working lunch to get as much done as possible on the day. You will probably not complete your skirt on the day, but will go home armed with the knowledge so that you can confidently finish it yourself.

Date: Wednesday 27th July

Time: 10,00am to 4.00pm.
