Would you like to meet up with others that are as passionate about sewing as you? Our Sewcials are a lovely opportunity to meet fellow dressmakers, quilters, bag makers etc.
It's lovely to hear the rich banter and laughter that goes on in these sessions and to see friendships developing through our love of sewing.
Experience levels vary greatly: from beginners through to those that have been sewing for many years. We help each other out whether it be in decisions around styling/colour or simple encouragement to give something a go. They aren't tutored though. If you need help with a technique take a look at our classes and we're sure there will be someone to help.
When are they?
6.30pm - 9.30pm (Patchwork/Quilters)
10.30am - 1pm
7pm - 10pm (term time only)
Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?
This session is just for patchworkers and quilters. At the moment, it's ok to just turn up (but you need to be before 7pm otherwise the door will be locked). There are occasions where we will need to restrict numbers but we will put this out on social media. It's £3 a session, payable on arrival (card or cash).
Our day time Sewcial doesnt need to be booked. You can just turn up. Julie is here most weeks doing her sewing. It's Free.
Our Thursday session normally runs alongside a course so there are limited spaces. So, we do ask you to let us know if you'll be coming. We won't turn you away, but we need to sometimes be creative about how we layout the room to fit us all in! Its Free.
If the front door is locked, phone the shop number 01480 300092 and we'll come and let you in.
