Beginners Bag Making - Rucksacks Mon 2nd & 9th Sept 7pm-9.30pm
Everyone that's seen our Adventurer Rucksack loves it and we have had so many requests to teach it that here we are!
Featuring a zipped pocket and a secure fastening it's an ideal holdall for everyday use. It's a medium size rucksack that would suit adults and children alike and can be made in canvas, wool, cork or leather with pretty or funky cotton panels or lining (piping is optional too!).
You'll test your sewing machine to the limits; learning how to work with multiple layers and you'll learn all about the different stabilisers available to bag makers; how to insert a faced zip, sew curves and box corners. .
The workshop is suitable for confident beginners. So long as you can use a sewing machine, you don't need to be an expert. The lessons will focus on techniques, so you'll need to have cut out your fabric prior to the course (we'll send you full instructions and pattern pieces) and there will be homework to do between the sessions.
