Reducing Plastic Use at Home - Monthly Course starts Wed 8th April 10.30am
Join us for a brand new course to replace some of the plastics we use in our homes. From make up remover pads, to beeswax wraps, kitchen roll and even sanitary wear; we'll have an array of projects that you can complete with us in a monthly class.
Suitable for confident beginners and more experienced alike. You need to be able to confidently thread your bobbin and machine and be able to use a straight and zigzag stitch.
During the course, you'll have the opportunity to try out one of our overlockers if you don't already own one.
We're encouraging you to use up your fabric supplies for this course. Using left over pieces and thrifted goods. Aiming for practical and pretty. We'll also have lots of fabric scraps/specialist materials that you are welcome to use too.
In the first session, we'll be making bowl covers and kitchen roll. So bring along a couple of bowls you would like to use regularly at home.
Why not sign up with a friend? If you lift share or don't use a car to get to the classes, we'll happily loan you one of our machines to use and give you each a £5 gift card to use in the shop (limited by the number of machines we have available).
Dates: Wednesday 8th April, 13th May, 10th June and 8th July and 1 date to be agreed.
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm/1pm
Whilst we have fabric scraps that you can use, you are welcome to bring your own. You will also need to bring thread and your usual sewing kit.
Can't make all the dates? Sign up for the sessions individually.
