Shirt Making - Thurs 7th & 14th Oct 7pm-9pm
Take your dressmaking to the next level with this brand new course focused on shirt making techniques.
We'll be covering collars, collar stands, plackets, cuffs, buttonholes. Everything that may have put you off making shirts, blouses with collars and a buttonholes or shirtdresses in the past.
You'll make a shirt, blouse or shirtdress over the two week period to practice your techniques.
This is designed for those who are already making garments regularly. You'll be expected to come to the first session having adjusted your pattern to fit and cut out your fabric. Then, there will be some homework to do between the sessions, to get your garment to an agreed point.
Recommended patterns are numerous and will be sent out upon booking, but how about the Classic shirt by Liesl & Co, Kalle by Closet Case, Rosa by Tilly & The Buttons, Harrison or Lennox by Cashmerette, Archer or Alder by Grainline; McCalls M7996, M7890, M7889 or M7575.
