Where are We?

40a The Broadway, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5BN

By Bus:
We recommend that you use the guided busway to get to St Ives. The main guided bus station is at the other end of the town centre to the shop so is a brisk 5 minute walk or leisurely 10 mins.
Leaving the bus station, head West towards the town centre and cross the St Ives bypass at the pedestrian crossing. Follow the road into town (Waitrose is on your right). Keep going straight on, through the main market area and past the junction with Bridge Street (which is the road that takes you to the river bridge). Keep going past ITSO Travel and Wadworths Wine Shop. Our shop is the last but one shop on the right hand side of The Broadway, next to Vardi Kitchen and almost opposite the Norris Museum.
By Car:
From the A14:
Now that the new A14 is open, there is no longer a direct junction from the A14 for St Ives.
Coming from the West (Huntingdon/Midlands):
Take the junction off the A14 at Godmanchester (signposted St Ives as well). Turn left onto the A1198 until you reach a large roundabout with the old A14 going over the top. Turn right onto the old A14 (now the A1307). Follow this road for a few miles and then take the St Ives turn onto the A1040. Turn left, then go straight over the first roundabout (the old Vindis car showroom on the right). Over the lights for the guided busway. Turn left at the next roundabout (signed Town Centre). Ignore the car park on the left. Follow the one way system around to the left and then to the right and left again onto West Street. Go past the right hand junction with Broad Leas and the Globe car park is on your right.
The shop can be found by following the footpath that runs into town from opposite the car park entrance (the alley runs down next to a small shop called The English Listed. When you emerge from the alley, our shop is the first one to the left.
Coming from the East (Cambridge):
Turn off the A14 at junction 28 for Swavesey. Watch out for this junction as it is a few miles before the old St Ives junction and if you miss it you will have to carry on the new A14 until the Brampton interchange.
Take the 2nd slip road (not the one for the Services). Turn right at the roundabout at the top at the 4th exit (not back onto the new road) making sure you go over the bridge of the new A14. Follow the signs for St Ives which will turn you left onto the old A14 (now the A1307).
Follow this road until the St Ives junction (A1096) and turn left at the mini roundabout (Bentley garage opposite). Follow over the old A14 to the next roundabout (the old Vindis car showroom on the right). Go straight over.
Over the lights for the guided busway. Turn left at the next roundabout (signed Town Centre). Ignore the car park on the left. Follow the one way system around to the left and then to the right and left again onto West Street. Go past the right hand junction with Broad Leas and the Globe car park is on your right. Park here.
The shop can be found by following the footpath that runs into town from opposite the car park entrance (the alley runs down next to a small shop called The English Listed. When you emerge from the alley, our shop is the first one to the left.
From Ramsey Road:
Take Ramsey Road towards the town centre. Turn left onto North Road. The Globe car park is on the right hand side (you will need to turn right onto Broad Leas and right onto West Street to get to the car park entrance).
Parking:
  • The Globe car park is free after 6pm and on Sundays.
  • At other times, prices range from £1.60 for two hours to £4 for the full day.
  • You will need your car registration number to buy a ticket. You can pay by card.
  • There is free street parking outside the front of the shop (1 hour maximum).  Worth a try if you are doing Click & Collect, but it tends to be full most of the time.
  • Blue Badge holders can park right outside the front door on the double yellow lines.
  • You are welcome to drop off your sewing machine at the front before parking if you don't have a trolley (we have checked with the Police and it is fine to pull up on the double yellow lines if you are just unloading/loading).
