Patchwork in a Day (Beginners) Saturday

Join in one of our quilt in a day classes and get a taster of patchwork and quilting.

In this class we'll be making a quilt based on the technique known as Stained Glass. It's a great scrap buster but can also be made with a charm pack and has a dramatic feel to it that really draws the eye. It would look fabulous in Christmas fabrics too!

We made ours with a fleece backing to make a wonderful blanket. You will have this option and will get most of it completed in a day but you could also use what you complete as the start of a bigger project or have a go at using wadding and backing fabric in a more traditional quilting technique.  

It's a great introduction to cutting and piecing and is suitable for beginners or if you would like to take some time to learn a new skill.

You need to be able to confidently thread your machine and sew using a straight stitch to join this class but you don't need any patchwork experience.

The instructions are included in the price of the class but the materials are not. It's fat quarter and charm pack friendly.

Every quilt class you take will open your eyes to how other students put colours together; giving a really valuable insight into, not only technqiues, but also colour combinations too.
