Learn to Sew (4 Week Course - Evening)

We've included an additional 4 week course on a Thursday evening as we have already sold out the Monday evening.

On this course, we'll start with the absolute basics including what equipment you need, how to use your sewing machine and cover an array of techniques including tension, seam finishes, interfacing and zips. Full handouts are available.

We'll not just teach the theory; you'll get to put it into practice by making some gorgeous items along the way - including a full lined tote bag; an apron and a zipped toiletry bag/purse. 

We also cover what can go wrong - showing you why and what to do if something doesn't go to plan.

Having and bringing along your own sewing machine is essential for this course but previous sewing experience is not at all.

All patterns we use are provided and included in the price of the course. We will advise on what types of fabric and what equipment you might need in the first week so please don't worry if you are not sure if you have the right things. We can provide everything you need for the first week (other than your sewing machine). The list in the link below is for recommendation only.
