Dressmaking - Quilted Jacket (Tuesdays)
Fancy making your very own patchwork and quilted jacket? I've wanted to make one of these forever and am thrilled that Alice is re-joining us now that she's back from the States to make my dream come true!
On this 6 week course, we will be spending the first few weeks designing and creating our own patchwork fabrics; then comes the quilting followed by the coat construction.
We'll have a number of blocks to choose from and how many you create and the size of them will be up to you. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you like.
The course is aimed at dressmakers rather than patchworkers (look out later in the year patchworkers!). So you will need to have experience in making your own clothes but you do not need any previous patchwork experience.
The pattern is included in the price of the course (we will be using the Tamarack jacket pattern by Grainline Studio) but the materials are not. Please follow our requirements list closely in the link below as we will be deviating from the pattern guide.
Dates: Tuesday 20th and 27th January; 3rd, 10th, 24th Feb; 3rd March. Note that there is no class during half term on the 17th Feb.
