Patchwork (Advanced) 8 Week Course
This term, we are using the amazing pattern from Elizabeth Hartmann called Spectacular Savanna.
It's a traditionally pieced quilt that features the most beautiful animals including an elephant, giraffe and lion. Each of the animals can be combined into one glorious quilt or can be made individually as cushion covers or playmats.
Perfect for a nursery and timeless enough to become an heirloom piece.
It uses fat quarters and fat eights so is an ideal scrap buster too!
We'll be making it over 8 weeks across the summer. Dip in and out as much as you like; the pattern is included in the price of the course. (RRP £29.50).
We absolutely don't expect perfection in our classes. We want you to have fun; so we offer lots of hints and tips that will stand you in good stead but don't worry if you think your patchwork hasn't been perfect so far!
You need to know the basics of using a machine and ideally have some patchwork experience to do this course.
Dates:
Monday 1.30pm - 4pm
Monday 13th May (introductory session to run through cutting out guidance).
Monday 3rd, 10th and 24th June.
Monday 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29th July.
Note there are no classes on the 17th June or 15th July as the Quilters Guild are here (you are welcome to join these sessions too!).
