Patchwork (Beginners) 8 week course

On this comprehensive 8 week course you will learn a variety of different machine sewing techniques to form, what are known as, blocks. They can be sewn together to make a small quilt or become the start of a larger sampler quilt.

We'll teach you how to add sashing (strips of fabric between the blocks), borders around the edge; quilting (including both hand and machine) and binding.

We absolutely don't expect perfection in our classes. We want you to have fun; so we offer lots of hints and tips that will stand you in good stead but don't worry if you think you can't sew in a straight line!

You need to know the basics of using a machine to join this class. The blocks that we use will differ slightly to those shown in the photographs so there is no reason why you can't join this class if you have done a previous course with us.

The patterns are included in the price of the course; but the materials are not.

Tuesday afternoons (1.30pm - 4.00pm)

Tuesday 21st and 28th May

4th, 11th and 25th June

2nd, 9th and 23rd July.

Please note that there are no classes on the 18th June and 16th July.

Tuesday evenings (6.30pm-9pm)
