Shirt Making (3 Week Evening Course)

Take your dressmaking to the next level with this 3 week course focused on shirt making techniques.

We'll be covering collars, collar stands, plackets, cuffs and of course buttonholes. Phew!

You'll make a shirt over the three weeks to practice your techniques. 

This course is designed for those who are already making garments regularly. We will let you have the pattern in advance and you will be expected to come to the first session having adjusted your pattern to fit and cut out your fabric.

Then, there will be some homework to do between the sessions, to get your garment to an agreed point for the next class. It means you then get the most from the class; concentrating on the trickier bits.

The pattern is included in the price of the course. Choose from McCalls M6044 or New Look 6232. If you already have a shirt pattern that you would like to use, please add a note to your booking detailing the pattern name/number so that we can confirm with the tutor that it includes all the features that will be taught in the class.

Materials are not included.
